Alcantara has entrusted Melismelis with overseeing MDW 2023. The brand, a standard-bearer for Italian design and values around the world, will be the undisputed star of the show with Through Alcantara, an extraordinary installation conceived and created by Melismelis at the ADI Design Museum, the temple of the Compasso d'Oro award that houses some of the most representative emblems of Italian creativity.
Through Alcantara is an exhibition that, with a nod to Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-glass, was born from the idea of accompanying visitors into the world of Alcantara to discover its innovation and strong commitment to sustainability. It is a three-dimensional sensory experience that allows visitors to cross a boundary and discover a wonderful world of colours, sensations and emotions, all waiting to be explored. The installation, designed and created entirely by Melismelis, stimulates visitors' senses through the use of LEDs, touchscreens, analogue and video media, and rolls of Alcantara material.
